When you connect to a normal shared printer a driver is installed on the
remote workstation to use when you print. The OneNote print driver makes no
such provision - even though it looks like you're connecting to it from B,
no OneNote print driver is ever actually installed on B so it can't do the
printing.
I would guess there is also an issue where the print target is not a device
but rather an application and since Machine B doesn't have that application
it doesn't really know what to do with the print output.
Bottom line: The OneNote print driver wasn't designed to be shared that way
and while I agree it would be a useful feature, it's not very surprising
that it doesn't work.
