I had a similar problem when I first started using Vista.
A task that I left to run overnight was interrupted by Windows
updating automatically.

With respect to Windows help, modern operating systems and the work
they are expected to do is so complex that even if everything was
fully documented it would still be a struggle to locate the particular
help one required.

An average operating system could easily need 100,000s of pages
to document comprehensively.

Having said that the Help & Support facility does cover an awful
lot of stuff and is menued quite well but you have to know what
you're looking for, the right search terms etc., and there's no easy
way around that on any system

right words to search on.
