I am having the same problem on an AT&T 8525 (WinMobile 5 &
ActiveSynch 4.5 / Win XP & Office 2007). Not all contacts and not all
appointments will synch. There seems to be no specific pattern. I
have tried to create new (contacts & appointments) on the device and
create new on the PC. Still no pattern.
Microsoft shows a tech note that points to security suite software
(including their own) being the culprit. I made the reccomended
adjustments to my ZoneAlarm firewall and still no effect. I even
turned off the firewall and still no effect. I then removed AS 4.5
and went back to AS 4.2, no effect.
My previous handheld was a WinCE 2003 PDA that worked fine even after
upgrading to AS 4.5 and Office 2007. My guess is that there is a
problem with Pocket Outlook. Since in 3 full days of investigating
this issue I only seen posts associated with Outlook 2007 and
WinMobile 5, it may be limited to P-Outlook in WinMobile 5 and Outlook
2007.
This presents a serious problem and may push people away from
WinMobile products if not resolved soon.
