Re: How do I wipe the hard disk clean and start over?

I keep geeting the "blue screen" and windows shuts down. Once in a while I
can get Windows to load and then freezes. My virus program somehow got
renamed is "unknown" and I'm sure thats causing the problem. So next time I
can restart the computer I'm going to do a format and reinstall. I have to
let the computer sit for a couple days and if I'm lucky, it will start. Dell
8500 Inspiron Notebook with McAfee virus protection. I tried to delete McAfee
but to no avail. I won't delete to "unknown program" AKA virus program. I
think it would be eaiser to format and start over. At least I will know if it
is hardware or software.
