Dear Daave
You found it. It was not even a PAINT problem, it was a keyboard problem and
here it is:

I use the set of digits on the right side of the KBD and the "Num lock" is
always on. Fact that I used it for entering numbers on bills etc. but into
the paint sizing page it wouldn't enter any numbers. It did it for 2 years
but refuse to do so now.

With your suggestion I tried the numbers 1 to 0 at the top of the KBD and
they DID enter numbers into the sizing section of paint.
Conclusion: Bad keyboard ? ah ah,

I replaced it with a new KBD and got the same defect. The numbers in the
right side bloc of the KBD can't access the paint program even in this new
KBD so I have a new mystery now.

But that doesn't bother me one bit because if I can enter numbers into the
paint program no matter what set of numbers I use then I solved my problem.

And I thank every body very much
