In case you are curious about learning more about Digital Research's DOS, this
short historical editorial is well done. I owned a company in 1991 that loaded DR DOS as the default OS but when the day Windows 3.1 was available we had a line of customers wanting MS Windows. We never sold another copy after the Windows 3.1 launch because the two were not compatible.
