Re: IE7 Remove address bar, Internet Search bar, back/forward butt

Hello Subbiah:

I don't work for Microsoft so I don't know what their design philosophy
was. From what I have read it appears that strengthening the browser's
security and bringing it up-to-date with the competition feature-wise
(principally tabs and RSS) were priorities. As for its appearance, I
understand it was created to fit in with Vista.

In any case, I doubt the browser's frame is carved in stone. Perhaps
more flexibility will be introduced later on. For now, I'm glad to have
tabs and to know that IE 7 has been hardened against attack.
