Robin, I followed your last suggestion on the IE7 closing issue, and so far
it seems to have worked. I will know for sure after I post this message and
close IE. If it works, I will compare which addons are disabled now and
before doing the reset, and then enable the ones I use individually until the
problem comes back.

I will try your last suggestion on installing the Windowsupdate agent
tomorrow night if I have time.

I appreciate the way you have hung in there with me, and the many others I
see you helping on the forum.
