Hi Obian,
Sounds like an incompatible Addon. Check your toolbar vendors for the latest
releases and any confirming documentation that their addons have been tested
for IE7 compatibility.
You can easily test this by running IE7 in no-Addons mode -
Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Internet Explorer (no Addons)
The orphaned IE Instances is typical of the MSN toolbar with tabbed browsing
or the Yahoo Toolbar with tabbed browsing (both these toolbars were release
prior to IE7 and were meant to be used with IE6 and not v7)
The MSN toolbar has been rebranded to the Live toolbar and an updated
version for IE7 is available from
http://toolbar.live.com
