MS07-016: Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer:

Open Add/Remove Programs > Make sure "Show Updates" is checked (top, right)

Security Update for Windows Internet Explorer 7 (KB928090)
If it's listed, tell me the Installed date shown.

You can have Automatic Updates configured to Notify Only setting (you must
approve the download and the install of all updates):

You can uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6), if you want.
