using outlook 2003 on an hp 1100 tablet pc running windows xp. It is connected to a corporate network, which is using exchange 5.5.

Ink no longer works in outlook only, all other programs function nomally.
ms word is set up as the email editor in outlook 2003.

uninstalling and reinstalling outlook or office does not correct the issue.
