Hi, I've got this problem on one of the machines in my office.
I think the problem is much more insideous than this - it looks to me like
javascript is not working *at all* in the other user's profiles - running the
suggested registry fix simply gives a "perceived" workaround, as it masks the
fact that the runonce page blows up. Whenever the user needs to use any form
of javascript in the future they will not be able to.
This is a really big issue here, because the machine in question belongs to
a developer working on an ASP.NET project, which relies quite heavily on
javascript - this makes the machine unusable.
I have checked all the obvious things, such as active scripting being
disabled, running with no-addons, etc, but everything seems to be configured
correctly. I even got another user to log onto the machine - javascript did
not work for them either, yet when the original user of the laptop logged on,
everything works fine.
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
Mike
