As recommended by other posters distrowatch will overwhelm you
with choices. Ny recommendation is to download a couple of
live cds, burn them, and then see which one works with your
hardware and personal tastes the best. Two distros I recommend
are simply mepis (www.mepis.org) and
pclos (pclinuxos.com/news.php)
