| Re: Issue make XP image I suspect the two computers do NOT have the same motherboard. You can't
move an image from one pc to another unless the motherboards are the same.
The intent of an image it to make a backup that can be restored to the same
pc.
This should not be a big issue with Windows XP, you just have to put the
Windows XP CD in and run the repair option. Pretend that your installing
the OS for the first time. Eventually a screen will come up asking if you
want to do a clean install or repair the existing installation.
Once everything is running fine, you can make an second image that is
designed for that pc.
