An aditional problem caused by the microsoft update, I forgot to mention, is that it also prevents you creating a recovery point. Otherwise that would be a solution - to recover the system prior to the microsoft interference. So if the system crashes in this condition, the microsoft victim (I mean the microsoft customer) could be inreal trouble.
