You need both antivirus and antispyware software.

Norton is probably the worst possible choice for an antivirus, at
least in my opinion.

SpyDoctor (if that is the exact name of your product) is referred to
multiple times on Eric Howe's list of Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware
Products & Web Sites at
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm so you probably
want to look for a more reputable product for this as well.
