Recent Files is a lot more than the Recent Items that appear in the Start
Menu. I think that just shows the last 10 or 15.

This might be the address:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

But I can't be sure as as I have a fresh installation of Vista here, so I
don't have any Recent Files.

Try putting your old filename in the advanced search box and see what the
location of it is.
