Re: Where does The Akami Download Manager Put the File?

Gary--

At least on XP--

It's like any download dialogue box, and you might have missed that you can
browse and direct it wherever you like.

I read Clark's post with interest, and possibly Vista has a diffrerent way
of dealing with Akami, but as to the hundreds of downloads I've seen on
Vista builds, including those from the MSFT FTP servers there didn't seem to
be any significant difference except that Vista has the term users in its
file path instead of Documents and Settings.

Akami will put the file wherever you tell it to if you do. If you have
trouble finding it, and didn't send to a target folder of your choice, just
do a search for .iso or vista 5744.

Additionally you can have your drive folder arrange files by View>Show in
Groups if you're on XP >arrange by size or in Vista arrange by Size.

Also a very useful free download that can find files very fast and in
considerable detail even when you have thousands upon thousands is one
called Dx Hog Hunt--and it quickly can arrange by size.
