| Battery maintenance of ThinkPad X41 My supervisor has a ThinkPad X41 tablet PC. He got a message on his screen
that alerted him to poor battery management policies saying how "fully
charged" his battery only had 66% of the life it had "new". It gave him
several tips that he forgot to copy down.
I have not been able to find these tips anywhere. The only thing I have
found is that on his "Access IBM" software it notes that by default when you
use the AC adapter and/or the docking station it will start charging once the
battery is below 96% of capacity, and you can change this setting so that the
laptop will "charge smartly" in a manner that will prolong battery life if
you tend to use the AC adapter or the dock more often than you do running the
tablet on batteries.
Any thoughts on this or know where to look? He is kicking himself that he
didn't write this down and now we can't find it anywhere, thanks! |
