Sorry, but I simply do not understand what your asking might be about.
You don't have a problem and are just thinking in terms of "in case
...." ??

No. Warranty does not depend on where and from whom you buy a
HP/COMPAQ device.
It's just model specific.

If you do not already have a tc1100 and are looking to buy one on eBay
(the series has been discontinued by HP app. a year ago, so there is
no new ones any more):
Prior to buying ask the seller for the part-number and the serial
number. Then go to the site quoted in my last posting and enter the
data there. So you'll find out about the rest of warranty.
