Vista Enterprise Release on TC1100 - my experience:
Did not work:
External monitor
Brightness Control
Vista Movie Maker (complains about directx10 card)
Aero Glass
SD Card Reader
Warnings:
Slingbox player gave warnings about being incompatible, but it worked
fine nonetheless
Office 2007 release, incuding OneNote 2007, worked fine under Vista, as you
would probalby expect. They also work fine under tablet 2005 (but Onenote
2007 will not ink on tablet versions under 2005, so if you want to use it on
non-vista versions SP2 is in your future...)
Everything else did that I can remember, including the jog control.
However, it did require going to the HP website and downloading XP drivers
to get some items to work. I do have to say that I ended up going back to
Tablet PC 2005 for now, at least until better driver support catches up. I
really needed the brightness control for power management and night use.
The others I can do without.
To others out there - It might be interesting to note that you will need a
wired lan connection after installation in order to get the wireless driver
for the machine. So pan accordingly if you decide to upgrade. |
