Curiously, I am having exactly the reverse problem. From the Vista desktop
have full access to the XP laptop, but from the laptop I have no access to
the Vista machine. Even the shared printing that used to work transparently
from the laptop when both machines ran XP no longer functions.

Tech support spent a very patient hour or more with me and was unable to
resolve this.
