I also am hoping to find a way to re-activate the wi-fi on my Motion Computing LE 1600. I bought this unit on eBay. The former owner had wiped out everything and re-installed the OS.

Somehow he de-activated the wi-fi and the Bluetooth in the BIOS and as a result the computer does not even recognize the wi-fi device which is clearly visible. He does not remember this nor, if any, the password required to access the BIOS and activate Bluetooth and Wi-fi.

The Motion Computing service people say that the computer has to be sent to the company for repair. I understand that this can be expensive. Trying different passwords is dangerous because after a number of unsuccessfull attemps, the OS may be programmed to shut down and prevent the computer from operating. Can someone help or must I send the unit to Motion?
