Hello, everyone,

My name is Ellen and I own a NEC Versa Litepad and an Acer tablet. I like the Acer better than the Versa, but primarily because it isn't broken. The antenna for the NEC broke off, and the buttons are not working.

Unfortunately, I lent the Litepad to a friend, and he lost the restore CD.

I emailed and called NEC last year asking them to send me another restore CD, and offering to pay for it, but they said they wouldn't.

If anyone has one that they would lend me, I would be very grateful.

My daughter uses the Acer tablet, and it's a nice little computer/tablet for homework, etc. It's an older one--maybe the second version they came out with.

I bought them both to try out in our office because we do a lot of interviewing and capturing meeting notes, etc.

Neither tablet is really ready for primetime in terms of that kind of use. I do like the idea of a tablet for less intensive applications.

I'm looking forward to participating on this board--I'm interested in how far tablets have come in the last three years since I bought mine.
