| The first step: Tablet PCs for teachers
The first step to many 1:1 computing initiatives is providing a Tablet PC for the faculty first. This gives teacher's time to learn how to use the Tablet PCs, experiment with different software applications, and learn how to blend them with the curriculum so student learning is enhanced.
What is the best way to get students up and running? Successful deployments frequently use a mentor program. Identify teachers who are interested in the technology, train them, and then have them help train the rest of the teachers.
