The CP has a maximum of 128MB RAM, as you indicate. This cannot be
expanded. With a jump drive you can have additional storage space, but
this is not RAM and will not make the system any faster.

For "best" performance out of this machine (bear in mind it will never
be stellar) go back to the original operating system, which I believe
was Windows 98, and remove all unwanted software.
