The CRT is an output not input so you are only seeing a copy of the actual
data. If a line shows on the screen and also the printed copy then the line
is in the actual image

Another option is that there is a problem with a jet in your printer (if the
line is not shown on the screen). Have you tried printing the image on a
different printer or from a different computer?
