I guess I don't understand then. If you have a CD-ROM drive for the
laptop what is the issue? In order to properly load the OS these days
you are going to either need windows 98 on floppy or the CD-ROM
drive that is intended for the laptop. XP does not come on floppies. The
link I sent you has the factory CD-ROM drive for your laptop which will
make it possible for you to load any version of OS you may desire.
