I want to be able to hook up two computers in my apartment. I have an
older Netgear hub, but i'm not sure how to hook it up. There's four
slots in it. What I did was put the main ethernet cord (coming from
the wall) in one of the slots and then put two more ethernet cord in
two more slots. Unfortunately this doesn't work. I says I have little
or no connectivity.

Am I doing anything wrong? The only cords I have are a power cord and
the ethernet cables. There's a silver think coming out the back, but
there's nothing attached to it.
