I am a Mac user, but my girlfriend has a tablet laptop from Averatec. The tablet glass shatted and the monitor works fine. Is there anyway to replace the glass?

I went to Comp USA and they claim you have to replace the whole monitor despite the glass being the only problem. I have a hunch that that is wrong. Does anyone know where I can order a replacement glass part for a standard tablet laptop? I know you can get the glass without the electronics for laptops with no problem, so I would imagine somewhere, there has to be a place.

Also too, these glass parts need to be replaced ever so often anyway, so there has to be a better solution. Please, if anyone can help me, or suggest a place to go, I will be forever in your electronic debt!
