ok, so i did a dogpile search and found some mac's (ibooks) having a few
problems, and it's related to power consumption, and is apparently an APM
problem, not broken at all. it's a feature in the Travelstar that actually
saves power and extends the life of the drive... bugger that, i'm going to
buy a Fujitsu like i planned and keep this for an external USB drive.
