Yeah they will work on any files...stuff that's already compressed (like
MP3s or JPGs) will not compress much more with WinZip, but can be split.
Wav's will be fine. Also there are lossless compression formats for wav's.
One is called FLAC. I haven't use it, but it is supposed to compress to
about half the size of WAV, without any loss in quality. WinZip is also
lossless as well, but you must uncompress it to use the file.
