I'm not sure if I'm looking at a Windows XP problem or a Tablet XP problem,
here...

Has anyone had problems with the new ActiveX control update for Windows
Update? I downloaded and updated my Windows Update (it then becomes Microsoft
Update) last evening, and then used it to find and download 6 general Windows
updates (which were primarily security updates).

Somewhat to my surprise, half of these security updates failed to install,
but the bigger surprise was another pop-up window, a history window, that
showed 40 (!!!) failed update installations, starting on 22 June...! And, of
course, the information icon that was supposed to explain how to "fix" the
failed installs... didn't work!

I have no idea what to make of this. Anyone have any insights?
