To be fair, I wouldn't call the update dirty or lacking in QA but they really
missed the boat on this. The guy I spoke with at CES said the questions I
was asking were beyond what normal users get into - I think they tried to
over simplify it and as a result lost some "touch and feel" - if it isn't
working, it is hard to tell why - there isn't a lot of dialog. Also, I spent
a good deal of time this afternoon playing with three computers running 11
and I can not get a single one to connect to another as a client which
contradicts what they told me at CES. I think it may work on Vista machines
but could not see it there because I think the machines were locked down and
the dude I was speaking with didn't know the admin pass and couldn't get it
working or he was just wrong about one computer being able to be a client to
another or did not understand the question. I am able to get my SMC audio
thing to log in to several WMP 11's and pull audio though so keep trying with
your Acer device.
