You basically need a Radeon 9500+, or a GeForce 5+, or any fairly modern IGP
(that's Integrated Graphics Processor for you first-timers). Any machine
hovering around the minimum for Vista is not going to have the chutzpah to
run the Aero interface. If you've got an AGP 4X/8X slot, you're in good
company.

Midrange cards from ATI can be had for between $100-150

I myself haven't priced nVidia cards lately, but 6's are quite good. 7's
are outstanding.
