| I, too am experiencing the problems with the bios. The date/time remain intact, however all of the settings in the bios are reset to their factory defaults every time I power-cycle the laptop! This is annoying as hell!
I sent mine back to Averatec on 4/27/05. They sent it back on 5/3/05. Tech support told me that they supposedly replaced the motherboard. (I doubt it, cause it does the exact same thing every time you boot it!)
BEEP! BEEP!
WARNING - CMOS FAILURE - RUN SCU
Then, everything is reset to the factory defaults.
I'm beginning to think that this is the BIOS itself, not a hardware issue.
It's got TH11v1.0 dated 10/11/04.
Does anyone one else have this problem? |
