Now go into Control Panel/Regional and Language Options. On the Languages
tab, tap the Details button. Now look on the Advanced tab and make sure
there is a check mark in the box left of "Extend support of advanced text
services to all programs" and there is NO check mark in "Turn off advanced
text services."
If those are incorrect, change them and reboot your system.
If those were correct please post back, listing what you have installed on
the Settings tab (same Text Services and Input Languages screens). The
Default input language (top rectangular selection drop-down) and the
Installed services screen should match, along with having the following:
Advanced Text Services, with at least three of the following four installed
(1) Ink Correction, (2) Tablet PC Correction, (3) Tablet PC Correction for
Windows Journal and (4) Tablet PC Text Insertion. Three is normal, and if
you have Office 2003 installed, you will have four entries. If you have
none or less than three, use the Add... button. If you add something here,
restart your system after you OK your way out.
