| TabletPC development desktop Hi -- I'm having trouble setting up a desktop PC (actual, a big honkin'
workstation) with Tablet PC 2005. The machine already had Windows XP Service
Pack 1 on it. I downloaded Tablet PC 2005 (both discs) from MSDN Universal,
and installed it as an "upgrade" being careful to use the correct license key.
Note that this PC has a Wacom tablet attached.
Now the machine is up and running, and has Journal, the soft keyboard,
handwriting recognition, etc. working -- all the same features that I have on
my Fujitsu T4010. So far so good.
However, Windows doesn't quite accept that it's a Tablet PC. In particular,
I can't install anything, like the Experience Pack, without an error message
that says that this isn't a Tablet PC.
Is my problem that I started from a Window XP "desktop" version, and I
should completely start again? I hate to do so, since I have all my developer
tools already installed on this machine. Please advise, and thanks! |
