I have a MS Notebook Optical Mouse 700 that is connected via USB. The
Intellipoint drivers are the most current. I am running Windows XP, with all
current patches.

After installing this mouse, my mouse pointer occasionally pauses for about
a second. Also, my screen flickers, and when this happens the pointer
disapears until I move it.

I often use AutoCAD LT 2000, so I am constantly using the mouse. Most
people may not notice the momentary mouse freezing if they aren't using a
graphics program.

Any solutions, beyond trashing the mouse?
