Vista Home Premium 32bit via Vista Express Upgrade

I`m getting the free Vista Home Premium 32bit upgrade for my Acer laptop
(cost is actually £ 14 for shipping) and as I have a Core 2 Duo 64bit CPU I
was thinking why don't they offer an upgrade to 64bit version but my guess
is they won't be bringing out 64bit drivers for the laptop.

So I was wondering despite the driver issue could I in some way request a
64bit version from Microsoft would my licence transfer to the 64bit version.
If I was able to download a 64bit version of Home Premium would I be able to
use it with my existing licence.
