This unit died on me a couple of years ago. Recently I plugged the
charger in, and after about 20 seconds, the leftmost diode IIRC started
blinking. It's been so long I can't remember if that's what it was
supposed to do normally when charging. It still wouldn't turn on. After
a time, 1 or 2 days of repeating the same procedure, the light wouldn't
come on again at all.
I'd like to get the old girl working again. Anyone have a similar
problem? Originally it just locked up on me, screen froze. I think I
pulled the battery out, or maybe just shut it off. It wouldn't come
back on subsequently, so I pulled out the ram module, plugged it back
in, and it came back on. Locked up again...repeated what I did before.
This worked maybe 2 or 3 times. Then it never came back on.
