Cool A friendly hello

I’m the owner of an Averatec C3500.
My version has a 60GB hard drive, 512 MB DDR333 RAM, an AMD XP-M 2200+ processor, a 12.1” XGA-TFT screen, a DVD/CD-RW drive, and it weighs in at 5.5 lbs. I think the only other version is one with an 80GB hard drive (and was only sold at Costco).
I purchased my unit from CompUSA during their Presidents day sale for $999.99 plus a free printer, perfect for a college student.
I’ll be using my tablet for general computing and taking notes in class, hopefully getting rid of most standard (pencil and paper) notes.
I don’t have anything to love about my tablet yet because I’ve had nothing but problems with it since I started using it . It’s heading back to Averatec as I type. I’ve been playing with PC’s for a while and have helped many friends and family members diagnose/fix their systems. I’ve built my own desktop but haven’t played with notebooks all that much. From my experience the unit appears to have a bad hard drive. I contemplated changing it myself (very easy on this unit, only six screws) but I currently have more time than money.
