thanks for the input. i did try disabling nvidia in device manager and on
reboot, the display went very plain and it didnt look like Aero was working
either. I turned nvidia back on and it is definitely better than the plain
display without nvidia but i still see that nvidia made some changes to my
display after i opened the nvidia control panel the first time. Now, even
if i hit Restore Default, it still doesnt go back to exactly how it was
before. O well. Am i supposed to download any updates to this driver?
