You are right and after thinking about it was the higher frequencies that
were lost with the FM Transmitter I bought.
It was a cheap BT Stereo receiver that lost the lower range but it was still
acceptable for using with a Slingplayer. It makes me think the Base was
turned down on purpose just to make the battery last longer.

Thanks for the info and I bought a car stereo with both the AUX and BT but I
haven't installed it yet.
