I followed that ignorant answer for a long time. Happily, I haven't had to
reinstall the OS or to do a restore point since.
Turning UAC off is NOT a sensible answer. It works in the background. Theonly
time it is an annoyance is when something needs to run. And You best know
what's asking for access to your machine.
