I had the same problem when my daughter wanted Itunes on my PC. She used it once
or twice a week but for the rest of the time it still part loaded on bootup,
uselessly using resources.
Mind you, I find almost all programs, whether free or purchased, want to do the
same these days. It wasn't until I wanted to kill itunes bootup processes that I
discovered how many.
I finally came across Sysinternals "Autoruns" free program and have found it
easy to use and fully effective.
Go to
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s...s/default.aspx
and look for it under "Top 10 downloads"
