I particularly like the bit about not needing an anti-virus program -- like
Ubuntu has built-in immunity (other than un-popularity) -- somehow, I don't
think so! anyways I wouldn't want to put anything *important* on it & depend
on that sort of "protection".

Aside from whatever OP may be using, sometimes real people doing real work
need to use whatever "the others" (in the group, company, crowd, club, etc.)
are using (it just makes life a little easier), or what the employer may
allow or dictate.
