Thanks to Mike and WHS.
When I follow your instructions the Search for System Restore Disks just
never returns.
Note as a result of this, I am unable to install any software that relies on
finding the
Shadow Volumes.

I do not see a box that will permit me to simply not search in the first
place.
Perhaps there is one in the registry.

Thanks to Richard Urban for his suggestion about turning off the item in
group policy. I will try that next.
