| Re: Hijacked Associate: People purchased a product/service because they wished to
associate with the image delivered by the spokesperson (and the majority of
other users).
Disassociate: People refused to purchase a particular product/service
because they didn't want to be associated with the image delivered by the
spokesperson (and the majority of other users).
Negative campaign: Almost always initiated by a person/company feeling
insecure about their position in the market, and almost always from a 2nd-,
or even lower, tier competitor targeting to the leader, and NOT vice versa.
Most well-trained decision makers can tell this very well.
Foolish: Anyone insults a potential/existing customer just to show how good
this person is (or how stupid the customer is by purchasing a
different/wrong product) at the cost of the customer to disassociate with
the image represented by the person, and thus, may not continue to use the
product or even consider it.
Many people purchased a product not for technical features but for the above
reason. So,
You ask, why people don't want to use Linux? I ask, why you (as a
messenger, a.k.a. unofficial spokesperson) keep doing this even you have
been advised many times?
I know you will not change, and I just wish other Linux advocates don't
repeat the same mistake, again and again and again.
