Sounds like you never recompiled your own Linux kernel like you are
supposed to do for security updates. As if you did, you would find that
this breaks many of your Linux applications. So many Linux users never
update their OS with security updates.
And I have Xandros, Ubuntu, and Puppy Linux and not a single application
is available for these distros that I find useful. Although on the
Windows side, everything that I ever want or need for the past 10 years
runs under 2000/XP. Linux can't even keep my interest for a whole day,
let alone for 10 years. See the difference now?
